Downtube Stickers and More

We got slammed today at The Shark, so I don't have it in me to say too much today. But I figured I would put in a quick post of the latest goings on here at Fellet Brazing. I've made some great progress on my disc fork, and pretty much just needed to clean up a couple spots on my brazes to be ready for paint until I realized I never put any cable housing guides on it. It would be pretty easy to just zip tie the lines, but what's the point of having a custom fork if you just have to jimmy-rig it when you're done? So it's not done, but here's a sneak preview:

You don't even want to know what kind of tight clearances I had to deal with on this one.

I also FINALLY got my down tube stickers in from Victory Circle Graphix. It was only about a month after I was expecting them, but it's still not a bad deal, and quality seems pretty good. Hoffmeyer and Marc, just swing by sometime and I can put them on for you, or let me know if you want me to just drop them off with you. Either way.

Hey that fork and those downtube decals look good. i like how they wrap the downtube without being overwhelming. Just an FYI I know somewhere I read of a well known builder reporting that the guides on the back of the fork leg were causing stress risers on the flexing tube and cracking on a couple of his forks. Don't remember who, but I know it was an mtb fork, not road though, with straight blades that probably flexed more in the middle instead of the curved lower legs of the road blades.
Then again, knowing you've probably read almost everything out there on frame building you probably didn't need me to say that.
Wow that was a long comment.
And in closing can I call Big Shark and ask for the shop gnome?

Thanks man.
And I actually didn't hear about that one. (I'm doing more work than research these days) But, I guess with it being my fork, I'm willing to experiment. Plus, I can use some small (in length) braze-ons so it shouldn't be too much of a stress riser. But I guess we'll see. I won't make any of these for anyone until I've got some serious miles in them. Thanks for the heads up. And yes, but he won't answer.

Robert, thanks man. Yea, just stop by whenever, or maybe I'll plan a ride out to Manchester sometime.
